Brussels
The Belgian capital is the city of many parks and forests. Our routes will take you running in Brussels, from the Bois de la Cambre to the Woluwe park via the historic centre.
Although the name Brussels originally meant 'castle of the marshes', since the vaulting of the Senne in 1871, the periodic flooding and marshes that surrounded it are history. Today, its many green spaces and wide arteries offer runners considerable opportunities. Brussels is a large city, and the space available per inhabitant is larger than the average for other European capitals. The three-storey houses are very specific, similar in structure but often very different in appearance. Walking along the streets of Brussels, you will discover this 19th century architecture, which still stands alongside the mansions of the urban periphery. In the heart of the city, you will discover the magnificent Palais de Justice, the gigantic Basilica of the Sacred Heart, or the alleyway housing the famous Manneken Pis fountain.
