Accessible tourism

Traveling in a wheelchair or with a stroller is not always easy. The cities do not necessarily have the adapted infrastructures and some places are even completely inaccessible. It is therefore difficult to get organized, to know where to go and how to get there.

JOOKS, which creates sports tourism routes and is present in more than 300 cities around the world, has decided to remedy this problem by creating audio-guided routes for people in wheelchairs or with strollers. Discover the jewels of Paris, Los Angeles or Tokyo, all in 8 languages.

The routes are between 5 and 7 kilometers long and take into account the road elements (lowered sidewalks at intersections, road and sidewalk surfaces, etc.) as well as the difference in altitude. Although some cities have a topology that does not always lend itself to wheelchair or stroller travel (Lisbon, for example, which has a significant difference in level, or Brussels, where there are many cobblestones), the routes have been designed to make your walk as pleasant as possible.

One of the most accessible cities is Barcelona, where our route will take you in the footsteps of Gaudí, from his famous houses to the Sagrada Família.

With our New York tour, you will dive into the heart of Manhattan for a stroll to discover the Big Apple's must-sees.

You will fall under the spell of Berlin and its incredible historical and cultural wealth, with a tour that will take you from the Reichstag to the Museum Island.

For the more adventurous, the route through Rome will be a little challenging with its hills and cobblestone streets, but the Eternal City has so much to offer that it would be a shame to miss out.

In total, there are 24 cities around the world that you can now discover without hassle, thanks to our dedicated routes.

In addition to routes accessible to all, JOOKS offers more than 1300 routes to visit the world by running, walking or cycling. Join us now!
